This most famous of fruit pies needs no introduction.The filling is made with tart Granny Smith apples, caster sugar and a little bit of freshly ground cinnamon. The sweet shortcrust pastry case is made from wheat flour, butter, sugar and free-range egg yolk. The pie is baked and supplied in a heavy duty disposable aluminium foil dish. Best served warm with cream, ice cream or custard.
