Pear and almond tart


This classic tarte poire amande tastes just as good as it looks. We preserve pears (Williams or d´Anjou varieties) from Argentina or the USA at their peak of ripeness in our own kitchen so that there is always a ready supply to meet orders. The tart has a buttery shortcrust pastry base whilst the Frangipani filling is made with ground almonds, natural almond extract, free-range eggs, butter and sugar. An apricot jam glaze provides the finishing touch.


Serves: 8 portions. Baked on the day of the order, sealed in an airtight bag and frozen until delivery the next day.
