Custard tart


Whether it´s Portugal´s pastel de nata, Brazil´s pudim or South Africa´s melk tert, just about every country has a custard based dessert to call its own. Ours is a traditional English custard tart. It has a base of buttery shortcrust pastry and a filling made with free-range eggs, whole milk, fresh cream, caster sugar and natural Madagascar vanilla extract. A generous sprinkling of freshly ground nutmeg provides the finishing touch.

Serves: 8 slices


Baked on the day of the order and frozen until delivery the next day.
