Victoria Sponge


A quintessentially British teatime treat which became popular during the Victorian era and has been going strong ever since. Ours is a moist two-layer sponge cake made with wheat flour, butter, whole milk,free-range eggs, caster sugar, baking powder and natural Madagascar vanilla extract. It has a filling of whipped dairy cream  and a choice of two homemade jams - raspberry or strawberry.

Serves: 12-14 slices.


Baked on the day of the order, wrapped in an airtight bag and frozen until delivery the following day. Due to the fresh cream content, this cake is best kept refrigerated after defrosting.
